Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
